The stick ball film really does a good job of illustrating the greater purpose behind the sport. We saw a stick ball competition & that was so cool.
The vast story telling involved in the Choctaw culture is interesting. Some of the educational topics cover education, language, government structure, treaties & agricultural. Lots of info to read, so I would say the main exhibits are not really intended for small children, though there are some separate areas that are specifically designed for younger kiddos. Some of the information will bring you to tears. The films are short and interesting for tweens & teens. But once you discover the exhibits, OH MY!!!!!!! When you first walk in, it seems like not a big deal because the exhibits are hidden behind a big wall. The only downside is that the signage is not wonderful.you have to really hunt for the activities and exhibits. This is a newly built cultural center that is simply a TREASURE!! It’s full of education.
One of the BEST places I’ve ever taken my kids to & it’s right here in Texoma!!!
